20 dates - sliced open on one side and pits removed
5 dried apricots
* 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 tsp ground cardamom
Slice each dried apricot into 4 pieces.
Open the slit of each date and spread in 1/4 tsp of apricot /cumin jam, and insert a slice of apricot.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler - remove from heat and add the cardamom.
Dip each dates in the chocolate and set aside on a wire rack or parchment lined baking tray until the chocolate has hardened.
