FALASTIN spice collection
We have a box of 9 spices.
ALEPPO PEPPER - Middle eastern chili pepper that is fruity and hot and slightly acidic.
BAHARAT - Also known as Arabic 7 spice. Warm and flavourful with a little heat.
ZA'ATAR - Our blend has no salt, which makes it more versatile, but traditionally it should have the salt to balance the other spices.
BAHARAT SAMAK - Taken from the book, this is a fish rub.
SUMAC - Great to sprinkle on hummus or salads, it is also great in sauces and any stews. It adds a fruity sour note.
ROSE HARISSA - Spicy, floral, warming and delicious. Just add olive oil and a squeeze of lemon to make into a paste.
DILL SEED - is from the dill plant. It is native to Europe, Russia, and Asia. The flavour of dill is like caraway & anise with a fresh aftertaste.
ANISE SEED - This seed native to the Middle East, but is now cultivated all over the world. It has a taste similar to licorice.
TAMARIND is native to Africa but is now widely grown and used in many countries around the world including India, South East Asia and Mexico. It is also used in Middle Eastern cuisine. It has a sour but fruity taste.
