Aleppo Pepper (Halaby Pepper)

ALEPPO PEPPER is made from the Halaby pepper. It is named after the town of Aleppo in Syria. It has a nice medium heat and a full, rich, tart and fruity flavour. Due to the ongoing civil war in Syria most of the Aleppo pepper production has moved to Turkey.

ALEPPO PEPPER is used in Middle Eastern cooking (soups, salads, fish and kebabs). This chili has enough tomato fruitiness to be used in place of CHILI FLAKES in Italian cooking.
