AMCHUR (Amchoor) is native to India. It is the ground powder of the green mango. It is used as a souring agent. Amchur has a fruity sour flavour and is a good substitute for lemon juice, as it has naturally occurring citric acid. I t acts as an enzymatic tenderizer in marinades for meat and poultry.
