MINT is a dried minty leaf. The leaf is mentioned in Roman mythology and was used for its deodorizing scent as well as its appetizing flavour. When 'mint' is called for in savoury recipes it is spearmint that should be used. It can be found in Persian, Turkish, Thai and Moroccan cuisines to name a few.
It goes well with lamb and other meats. It can also be used as a tea, especially when mixed with PEPPERMINT.
Authentic Moroccan mint tea blends green gunpowder tea with spearmint.
