This Organic espelette chili pepper is used throughout the Basque region. There is a yearly festival celebrating the harvest of this unique pepper. Even though all chilis originate from the Americas, some varietals have become distinct and very specific to a region, and cuisine.
It has an AOP designation, which designates it as a distinct product from a particular place.
It is used as a condiment on everything, and has warm, sundried, fruity, spicy flavour.
