Atlantic Sea Salt infused with Sea Truffle

Polysiphonia Lanosa is a tiny wiry red algae with an uncanny aromatic similarity to the white Alba truffle off Northern Italy.  It is an Atlantic seaweed and  it thrives in the chilly North Atlantic waters off Iceland and the Canadian Maritimes.

Sea Truffle differs nutritionally from plants growing on land, like most algae. Sea vegetables have a higher content of minerals such as calcium, potassium and iodine. They are also rich in protein, amino acids, iron, vitamins and  fiber.  Sea Truffle is an excellent source of plant protein.

It is blended with a moist unrefined food-grade finishing salt with all of the ocean’s trace minerals intact. It is produced by simply allowing the sun to work its magic! We filter the ocean water and dry it in our salt houses that work like greenhouses by amplifying the sun’s heat and allowing the sea water to dry out.
