    Some ancient cultures
    are on the mythic spice route,
    blending together
    ADVIEH MAHI is one version of advieh. It blends traditional Persian spices that compliment fish recipes. Advieh can be tweaked to blend with meats, vegetables or rice, and this one is for fish.
    Fish Cakes with Persian Spices
    INGREDIENTS
    • 200g white fish fillets - diced
    • 300g potatoes - peeled and diced
    • 4 tsp Advieh Mahi
    • 1 egg - beaten
    • 1/8 cup chopped fresh parsley
    • plain flour for dusting
    • olive oil
    • salt & pepper to taste

    DIRECTIONS

    • cook and mash potatoes.
    • add fish, spices, parsley, and egg to the potatoes and mix well.
    • make 8 patties and place on a flour dusted plate, cover and chill for 1/2 hour.
    • heat the oil and cook the patties on med-high for 6-8 minutes - turning until golden brown.

    Serve with greek yogurt seasoned with sumac.
