HARISSA is a North African hot sauce. It most often comes in paste form and is used in Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. We make ours as a dry blend which can be used as a dry rub and can also be used as an easy tabletop condiment.
The Spice Trader Harissa is delicious when mixed with fresh lemon juice and olive oil can easily be made into a paste. The heat is quite high as it comes from the Cayenne Pepper. We use it at the table on pretty much anything.
RECIPES: PASTE - Use olive oil 1/1 to start. You can add more oil if it is too thick. I sometimes add fresh garlic and some lemon juice!
