This is dried zest of lemon. Dried Lemon Peel can be used when fresh zest is not available. It will not have that "zing" but is a good substitute when you don't have fresh zest. This works great in stuffing mixes, cake mixes and can also be used in hot beverages like tea, mulled wine and cider. Because it is dried, the lemon zest flavour evolves when mixed with warm liquid.
