The DE ARBOL CHILI is closely related to CAYENNE. This chili grows and is used around Mexico City and surrounding area. It is bright red, elongated , and pointed. It is often used ground. It finds it way into sauce, soups, and stews. It is often roasted and ground to sprinkle on peanuts, fruits, cucumbers, etc...

It has a tannic, smoky, and grassy flavour and has a searing heat.
