Espelette chili pepper  jelly is used throughout the Basque region. There is a yearly festival celebrating the harvest of this unique pepper. Even though all chilis originate from the Americas, some varietals have become distinct and very specific to a region, and cuisine.

It has an AOP designation, which designates it as a distinct product from a particular place.

A great addition to a cheese board or as an accompaniment to roasted meats.
