This is a smoked type of Jalapeño chili. We tend to think of CHIPOTLE as the only smoked Jalapeño. However, the Morita chili tends to be similar in heat, but has more fig & plum notes along with the sweet, smoky flavour.
It tends to be used in salsas and sauces.
