Day 6 - Cacao Nibs
I have been dried and fermented – I was the star before coffee
Chocolate houses were all the fashion in 17th century London. These were places for socializing and gathering. Different chocolate houses had different political and social leanings.
Cacao nibs and sugar is all you need to make chocolate. The nibs are from roasted, and hulled cacao beans. Then you mix them with sugar and blend in a food processor.
Mint Hot Chocolate
A yummy, warming treat
1:1 cacao nibs to sugar
Blend together for 25 minutes, often stopping to scrap down the sides, the more you blend the more fudge and chocolatey it gets. I stop when it is a soft dough consistency.
1 Tsp Cacao, Sugar Mixture
1 Cup Milk ( your preference)
I use my milk foamer to heat and foam the milk and then use a whisk to mix in the chocolate.
You could add the chocolate to a sauce pan with the milk and heat it together while stirring to combine.
Either way it is TAS-AS-TY!!
