Salsa Verde

10 fresh tomatillos*, husks removed,1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and diced,1⁄4 onion, chopped, 2 tsp ancho chili powder,1 clove garlic,2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, 1 pinch salt to taste


Combine tomatillos, avocado, onion, ancho powder, clove garlic, and  cilantro; blend until smooth. Season salsa verde with salt.

Use in Chicken Enchiladas with Salsa Verde


Unripe Tomatoes and Lime Juice, Green Pepper and Lime Juice, or Canned Tomatillos.
