Apple Crisp with Garam Masala
6 apples peeled , cored, and cut into 1 inch pieces
½ cup granulated sugar
Crisp Topping
¾ cup brown sugar
1.5 cups flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp Garam Masala
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup butter – melted
¼ cup cold butter cut into pieces
Directions
Pre heat the oven to 350º
Toss the apples in the granulated sugar and place in a baking dish
Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl except the butter and then drizzle in the melted butter and mix well. You can use your hands to blend once everything is incorporated.
Place the crisp top on the apples in the baking dish. Top with cold butter.
Bake in the oven for 45 – 55 minutes.
Top with custard or ice cream.
